Katherine Jenkins glams up in red dress

Katherine Jenkins glams up in red dress as she fronts saccharine PR campaign for chocolate brand

She is primarily known for her singing.

But Katherine Jenkin’s appetite for success is clearly allowing her to diversify – namely, into being the eye-candy of chocolate brand Lindor.

The blonde beauty was seen fronting a sickly-sweet campaign for Lindt, this week, which saw her pose in a red, brand-themed London taxi.

The Welsh stage star can be seen hailing the sickly-sweet vehicle outside the King’s Cross Renaissance Hotel, where she’s dressed in co-ordinated clothing.

Inside, she opening her carriage door for a trip around the capital and finds the chocolate brand on-hand to eat en route.

The 34-year-old cuts a glam figure in the tongue-in-cheek pictures, which sees her wear a flattering silk dress with nude heels.

The initiative is part of a PR-drive for the chocolate brand ahead of Mother’s Day and will see one hundred free rides for fans of the tasty treat.

The competition describes the prize as: ‘shiny and red on the outside, but inside you will find a den of bliss – the ideal place to enjoy a moment of bliss – alone or with a friend.

Funnily enough, Katherine’s latest album is called Home Sweet Home, so perhaps her part in the advert isn’t so random after all – no matter how tenuous the link.

Fortunately, the singer’s private life seems as sweet as her latest professional venture.

The blonde beauty, previously engaged for 10 months to TV presenter Gethin Jones, walked down the aisle on the same day as George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin’s nuptials in the summer.

Now happily married to her beau Andrew Levitas, the star committed to a candid television documentary in which she admitted that she never understood why Gethin called off their engagement.

Speaking on the BBC1 Wales show, she said: ‘At the end of 2011, when Gethin and I broke up, the reality of it was that, about two weeks later, I had to go on a UK tour.

‘Every night I’m singing songs of heartbreak and every day just trying to find the energy to cope – let alone going on stage and understand his reason for doing it.

‘Meanwhile, everybody else is under the impression it was my decision, my ambition – I wanted to take over the world. It was so far from the truth.’
